"Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be" -Rita Pierson
My teaching philosophy includes factors from both Love and Logic and Wong. My classroom will be well-organized and structured where I will have high expectations of students that are achievable and manageable. As a teacher I want students to feel important, loved, and appreciated. I believe in doing so by creating positive relationships with students and their families. My classroom will be a safe, welcoming, and loving place where students can express themselves and view mistakes as a learning opportunity. As a teacher, I will enhearten students' voice and choice in the classroom through flexible seating, discussions, and creative expression. Most of all, my students will feel valued and the classroom allows them to be the best they can possibly be.
My Classroom Management Philosophy
Classroom management is a crucial aspect of creating a successful classroom. I will create a classroom with a sense of community and connection. I will create an environment where students feel safe and comfortable to learn.
By allowing rules and procedures to be created with the students they will understand the high expectations I have of them and will be achievable and accepted by all.
Together as a class, we will work together to turn rules and procedures into comfortable everyday routines.
